- Handful of rivals fail to trouble Willie Mullins star
- Bookmakers cut him to 4-1 for third Cheltenham win
Al Boum Photo achieved a smooth victory in his first race since winning the Cheltenham Gold Cup, cruising into the lead before the final fence in the Savills New Year’s Day Chase. The Tramore contest, which he was winning for the third time, has become established as the horse’s one and only prep-run before being prepared for Cheltenham and bookmakers shortened him to 4-1 for a third consecutive Gold Cup triumph.
