Kieran Trippier banned for 10 weeks for breaching FA’s betting rules

  • Atlético Madrid and England defender denied wrongdoing
  • Trippier cannot play again until 1 March

Kieran Trippier has been suspended for 10 weeks and fined £70,000 for breaching the Football Association’s betting rules.

It means the Atlético Madrid and England defender is suspended from all football-related activity worldwide up to and including 28 February. He had denied seven alleged breaches of the rules.
