Three killed after attack at hospital in Kilmarnock

Police Scotland say incidents in Ayrshire town on Thursday night are not terror-related

Three people have been killed, including an alleged assailant, after an attack at a hospital in Kilmarnock and a related stabbing nearby, the police have confirmed.

Police Scotland said a 39-year-old woman, thought to be a nurse, died in the car park of Crosshouse University hospital after she was found badly injured at about 7.45pm on Thursday. She received emergency medical treatment but died at the scene.
